Equipment Needed to Play Ball
We are sure most of you will have seen baseball at some time or another & you will be familiar with the baseball gloves that fielding players wear.
We will provide gloves for players who join our club, as we have a pool of loan gloves that you can use for the training session. Once players gets hooked they usually buy their own leather glove as it gets moulded to your hand & becomes a great part of your success on the field.

The Bat
Traditionally all bats were made from wood, usually Ash - today the choice is bewildering & youth players are also allowed to use aluminium bats - as they last longer & are harder to break. At the Bobcats, we will provide a selection of bats for players to choose from, but we are lovers of tradition & will usually insist on wooden bats for competitions!
The Helmet
If you are at bat , on deck or on base - you will need to wear a batting helmet whilst on the diamond (the playing area). We will provide a protective helmet for all our players whilst they are on the field of play - they look cool too!
