Memberships & Courses

 

At the Bobcats we can offer a range of membership options which give parents the opportunity to choose a package

that best suits their youngsters commitment to baseball/softball.

We are confident that as the sport grows in demand within the UK, many more young people will want to take

part & we have tailored our memberships & courses to reflect this & by working closely with the UKYBA,

we can offer our young members coaching by a professional player/coach & for those that excel at the sport, we

can arrange for them to be seen by pro-baseball scouts from Europe & the United States.

MEMBERSHIP PACKAGES

STARTER - club membership which entitles the player to 1 coaching session per week & Saturday sessions as arranged

by the coaches. Valid from May 15th through to 30th September.

  Fee £50 (under 8 yrs - £25)

STANDARD - as STARTER package but in addition, 10 x 2 hour advanced baseball theory sessions that are classroom &

diamond based - giving the player a deeper knowledge of the game, playing positions & tactics.

  Fee £200

ADVANCED - as STANDARD but in addition, participation in a 2-day advanced baseball skills clinic, where the players

can put into practice the topics covered during the 10 week advanced baseball theory course. They will apply the knowledge

they have learnt & apply them in "live" game situations with skills practice on the diamond.

  Fee £350

COURSES

 

UKYBA 2 Hour Baseball Taster session - open to schools & any youth organisation, the UKYBA will run a 2 hour taster session

for the participants. Numbers limited to 24 taking part & the session is offered Free Of Charge for qualifying organisations.

Fee - £ FOC to qualifying organisations

 

UKYBA 1-day Baseball Fundamentals Clinic - a one day course, designed as an induction for a participant who may never have played the

game before or limited experience, covers hitting, throwing, catching, fielding positions, fielding skills & tactics & ends in a coach-pitch "live" game.

Fee - £60

UKYBA Advanced Baseball Theory Course - 2 hour sessions in the classroom & field based course, run over a period of 10 weeks, which introduces

the participants to the theory & application of baseball. In depth coverage of the rules, playing positions, fielders responsibilities, tactics,

hitting theory, umpiring, base coaching & scoring.

UKYBA 2-day Advanced Baseball Skills Clinic - designed to be a logical follow on to our Advanced Baseball Theory course, the participants are taken

on to the diamond to apply the practical knowledge they have learned on their theory course & to be assessed by the coaches on their overall

knowledge & practical application of the game. The course will be based around "live" games & practical coaching & Q&A sessions over 2 days.

Fee £200

UKYBA 1 - day Coaches Course - this course is aimed at the parent/helper who wants to help with effective coaching within their club. The course will

cover the fundamental skills required by youngsters to play the game correctly & you will be given the techniques for coaching these skills & assessed

by the coach on your performance. A qualification will not be issued until you have demonstrated an ability to transfer your knowledge effectively to

your young players. The course is not designed to give you a full theoretical knowledge of the game, but will give you the tools to act in an assistants

role to your club coach.

Fee £80

UKYBA One to One skills coaching - we can offer one to one skills coaching for those players who have a requirement, with a pro-ball coach. Rates are charged

hourly & start at £30 per hour or part.
