Child Protection

As an affiliated Sports Organisation, the Broadwater Bobcats have a very clear Child Protection policy

which can be downloaded or viewed from our site link:

http://www.baseballsoftballuk.com/uploads/_documents/Files/Welfare/Joint_Safeguarding_Policy_DRAFTv1_2.pdf

We agree that ALL young people have the right to participate in sporting & social activities

& that ALL young people have the right to do this in a safe & supportive environment.

With this in mind, all of our coaches & coaching assistants are required to have a valid

& current CRB certificate in order to carry out their roles within the club.

Any volunteer coaches/mentors will also be required to obtain one & we can arrange for

that process to take place at no cost to the applicant.

We believe that the CRB check is the first stage towards child protection but our

best weapon is vigilance. If any member of the club or parent/guardian or carer

have any concerns whatsoever regarding their child's welfare, their concerns

should be addressed to our Child Protection Liaison Officer, Nick Jolly, who can be contacted

at nick.jolly@hotmail.co.uk
